Trademark Lawsuit Decision Favors Cheese & Dairy

Cheese & Dairy was given permission by Judge William East to use “Tillamook” on its Premium Brand Cheddar Cheese. County Creamery had contested that use, saying that it held an exclusive trademark. Del Mayer’s Letter to the Editor, 1964

County Creamery (TCCA) sued Cheese & Dairy (TC&DA), claiming improper use of the Tillamook brand on Premium Brand cheese. The judge in the case urged arbitration. Cheese & Dairy agreed.
